I agree with everyone. Also, you really need to make sense when typing, because most of the time I can't take you seriously when you type with almost everyone word spelled wrong

RE: Pikmin - Cobalt Blue - 04-11-2010

dont take this edit as an order, its an idea on how you could do them

bulborbs seem to have bird-like legs, and also their body looks more like an egg rather than as a sphere or a pill. also, the jaw is located in the lower part of the head, and they have also nostrills.

regarding the colors you're using, take your time and read this

Tried to fix the bulborb and started the watery and fiery blowhogs

RE: Pikmin - Cobalt Blue - 04-11-2010

keep trying.

Okey, tried again

RE: Pikmin - Cobalt Blue - 04-11-2010

keep trying, again.
and i dont mean add nostrils, i mean you still have to get the colors right, the shape of the character, and so on.

???

RE: Pikmin - Cobalt Blue - 04-11-2010

its the exact sprite you posted 30 mins ago. the same flaws still exist. if you work just than 10 mins on something, it wont work. analyze, study, make comparisions, ask questions, etc.

do you happen, out of curiosity, problems at understanding what we have told you?, or do you have learning problems in general? maybe thats the reason.

RE: Pikmin - Vipershark - 04-11-2010

The colors that you changed the outlines to (the ones that used to be black earlier) are still a bit too dark. Brighten them up some.

Also, the bulborb's face doesn't end in a rounded-off rectangle like that. If you look at the ref above, its snout is pointy. Change the face so it points out instead of just... ending like that.

More egg shape and lighter dark shades

RE: Pikmin - Vipershark - 04-11-2010

Nope, the bulborb's shape is still incorrect.
Here, I made a simple edit to show you what I mean.

It's not perfect, but it's a lot closer to the ref.

You still need to fix your colors. Don't just move the brightness slider up and down to get you colors; instead, do some hue shifting. Metaru posted a helpful hue shifting tutorial earlier.

I think I got it right this time

Finished the Blowhogs, my second favorite enimy in Pikmin one

RE: Pikmin - Medevenx - 04-12-2010

The eyes need to move foward. Like the reference suggests.

RE: Pikmin - Vipershark - 04-12-2010

1. The color choices on the bulborb (aside from the shadow) are much better now, but they need to be brightened up to more of a pale tan-ish yellow color like the ref suggests.
Not only that, but the current color for the shadow on the yellow part of it is still way too dark. Decrease the contrast from the other shades a bit.

2. Also the eye stalks need to be wider than a single pixel.

3. The pikmin themselves (and actually the pellets and other stuff) need to be hue shifted as well.
