RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Helmo - 06-21-2011

metaru your english is so confusing

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Chutzpar - 06-22-2011

There's... really nothing very ambiguous in Metaru's post?

Also, I don't think I say this often, but I agree with Woppet. You were throwing a tantrum about how Nintendo are MONEY GRUBBING BASTAAARDS, Woppet was just pointing out that this was a response to fan requests, not necessarily just Nintendo going "Do ho ho it prints money". I'm not saying that it isn't a bit of a phone-in, but of course they're going to play it pretty safe at first for a new system, or they stand to lose money :I

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Cobalt Blue - 06-22-2011

after akk they have beed doing this trend of launching remakes for "the new handheld" since the gameboy color :V

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Helmo - 06-22-2011

Nintendo has released this game like 4 others times, it must be pretty special and deserves to be fixed up quite a bit.

Nintendo has been going the cheap road for a while now, pretty sure they've been grubbing some money.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Woppet* - 06-22-2011

Ok, that's it.
Back on topic. Or i'm gonna start deleting posts.

If anyone wants to make a thread to discuss the actual game and your progress so far etc, feel free, and I'll lock this one.
Because i honestly can't see where this discussion can go from here.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Cell Shaded Envy - 06-22-2011

Before this is locked then, Just gonna say that I was swimming through Lake Hylia and oh god thank you so much Nintendo it's so beautiful. And I've probably been trying to beat Malon's Obstacle Course for at least 20 minutes.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Koopaul - 06-25-2011

Why should this get locked? Arguments over and there's still more to discuss I think! How about them Skyward Sword cameos eh? What about the new animations, honestly I liked the old Darunia dance.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Chaoxys - 06-26-2011

I'm in the water temple and, get this, I'm lost. I haven't played the water temple in normal OoT since 2001 or 2002 and I don't remember where I was supposed to go. I just got to the room where the there is a waterfall leading into a pit with platforms falling in on the other side, and I need a key. Gotta find a guide.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - GrooveMan.exe - 06-26-2011

B-but

There's a guide built in?

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - DioShiba - 06-26-2011

I actually felt the difficulty of the water temple was toned down in this one.

maybe it was because the control layout on the touch screen helped and the fact that I remembered little bits of the dungeon, but there was still some trial and error to an extent.

Glad oot3ds is even easier. Rolleyes

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Vipershark - 06-26-2011

this game is really great and everything but am I the only one who -doesn't- like the old pause/equipment/status screen being relegated to the touch screen?

I don't like how the game requires you to take your hand off the buttons or slide pad in order to tap the touch screen.

I realize that there are less buttons on the 3DS, but perhaps the D-pad could have been used as a pause putton?
It's unused for anything else (as far as I can see ) so it's not too far fetched to set D-pad Up to pause/menu/, etc.

That aside, the game is great so far and in addition to a normal playthrough, I'm also doing a 3 heart, zero death (and i suppose i'll throw in short magic bar as well) playthrough.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Cobalt Blue - 06-26-2011

dont forget no shield. man man is worth its salt if you carry a shield with you.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Asther - 06-26-2011

I got to the forest temple and now i'm stuck. I can't figure out if i've used a key in the wrong place or what, and now that i actually need one i cant even find the shiekah stone.

so i went and rescued the carpenters and now i'm fighting volvagia. i didnt even know you could do the dungeons out of order before, but i'm doing fine without arrows.

RE: Zelda: OOT Comparison - Chaoxys - 06-26-2011

Turns out the trick to getting the key was to not be an idiot and forget about the bombable wall right at the start.
