When did I ever say that was the reason anyways? All I suggested was that the Wii U can also be the problem. Let's say if the Wii U can support 16 players, why didn't it? Maybe it was how many controllers it can support? That isn't the case, since this game can support with 31 controllers. Not enough space for showing damage percentages? You can easily put the other eight on top of the screen. We can just assume that a Wii U couldn't handle 16 characters at a smooth 60 frames, since it didn't even do so at this moment.

It could just be... that 16 player Smash is also just a stupid idea, considering how 8 players is already.

I get why people like Ridley, but I just don't get it.
Quote:As far as DK representatives, they just don't interest me enough even though the games are great. I'm just like "Who cares?"
To be honest, if you're not interested and so dismissive of them as a whole (regardless of their importance) because the games do not interest you, I don't see how your input on it is... anything worth reading. It seems like you're just trying to poke a stick at Koopaul here.

Excuse me but uh, wasn't there some insane bitching going on here when Duck Hunt was leaked?

I'm not liking what this topic is becoming, I hope this doesn't evolve into a "Your favorite anime sucks" scenario again, except replace 'anime' with 'character suggestion'.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Gwen - 12-02-2014

Iceman, the DK Country games are some of my FAVORITE games. Sooooooo stop it.

And yeah, I bitched about duck hunt dog, BEFORE I PLAYED AS HIM, and I fully admit I was wrong and laugh at the fact that I bitched about him.
He really is important to Nintendo history, and they made it worked.
It totally hasn't become what you're suggesting it's moving towards, just, why bitch about who got added ya know? Fuqq I'm even neutral about Dark Pit now, even if he wasn't somebody I would add ever.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Iceman404 - 12-02-2014

The old veterans as mentioned earlier, deserve more spots too. EarthBound, F-Zero, Zelda (needs one more, they have enough somewhat though), and most relevant aside from Zelda... Donkey Kong.

Everyone in Smash is pretty important to Nintendo history. Shitting on what other people want, especially on touchy topics like Ridely, Dixie, K. Rool, etc is just asking for it. In the end we all know whatever Nintendo codes will be fun to fight with, the concept here about whichever character gets in themselves is what I think some people care about. The moveset is bound to be good regardless.

EDIT: Also in relation to IceClimbers, I'd have wanted Sakurai to just make them single IceClimbers instead if there were no other option. They played like this in their game, and they'd be given a lot of buffs to last on their own. Their moveset is so unique and flavorful, imagine them fighting legitimately without silly chaingrabs!

Again, how is your input to my post any better?

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Iceman404 - 12-02-2014

Maybe I'll have a good response when I realize what those two quotes have in relation to each other.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - recme - 12-02-2014

First off, you criticized Gwen's post for not being worth reading when you didn't give my post a chance by not even reasoning. That sorta makes you a hypocrite when you made that post. Wink

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Iceman404 - 12-02-2014

@recme
You should really practice on the whole "clever assumptions" thing. I said Gwen didn't even like the series as a whole (enjoyed the game play no doubt) and therefore cannot relate to someone or some people who do enjoy it's characters. Your post is about some speculatory bullshit I'd rather shut down at the source, as none of us know the potential of the console. A discussion that can only spiral into the fan that I'd rather not continue with.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - recme - 12-02-2014

well, the least you couldve done was to acknowledge it in a way where it doesnt make me feel like shit. the way you pretty much brushed off what i said makes me feel like fucking trash.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Koopaul - 12-02-2014

Well let me explain myself. I guess I have a problem with characters like Greninja is that they aren't icons yet. They're just the flavor of the month or a passing fancy. We don't know how popular or important Greninja is going to be in the future.

That said, I would have prefered Toad over Rosalina. Yeah Rosalina has been around for a good while but not as long as Toad has. However, I mostly felt like Mario didn't need much more than he had in Brawl. Four or five characters seems like a good fair number... now focus on other franchises.

You're right about Duck Hunt being an important icon. Although I think most people don't remember him as a beloved icon, more one of frustration. But still, I'll give in that Duck Hunt was a fair choice.

In short I wanted characters that either: (A. have some history. (B. from a series that doesn't already have a bunch of fighters.

And it doesn't have to be a series that I'm overly fond of. Like I don't care about Advanced Wars, never really played it. However, I know that it's series has been a long part of Nintendo history with lots of games under it's belt. It deserves WAY more then it gets in Smash. I guess when it comes to Smash, I want it to be fair... as fair as possible at least. And this had got to be one of the least fair additions to the series.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Iceman404 - 12-02-2014

Bah guys I really apologize for how assy I'm sounding right now. I just dislike discussing this really.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - DragonDePlatino - 12-02-2014

Man, someone posted this over on Starmen.net and I couldn't resist sharing it...

A lot of these replies were pretty cringeworthy, but some were pretty much expected (nobody knew the Fire Emblem characters, Link/Zelda, Samus/Metroid).

Also, I can't stop laughing at the guy who said "ASTRO BOY!" when Mega Man was shown. It's so true!

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Koopaul - 12-03-2014

I was expecting someone to say "Donkey kong Jr." upon seeing Diddy. Close though.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Gwen - 12-03-2014

@Koopaul

Rosalina is insanely popular(she's a fave of mine but wharves) but her character is interesting at least, which is really the most you can ask for with new characters, no matter what series they're from).

Also, while the characters you'd like would be cook, they made nowhere near the impact of the characters that were added(even Shulk yes)
Most of the characters do have history, and even those that don't (Greninja, Shulk) they're popular and interesting enough to add that they'll stick out like KARAZY.

RE: SUPER SM4SH BROS: WII U (Spoilers Warning) - Iceman404 - 12-03-2014

Koopaul is not disproving what you said, Gwen, he's simply trying to say there's people even more deserving of those spots; these guys are just too 'fresh out the box' right now.
