The program that I'm using does not allow .mp3 filetypes! Ouch! Ack, is there anybody here that may have access to some kind of .mp3 > .midi converter? Gonna Puke
You're shooting blindly in the dark there- I don't think there's any way you can convert an .mp3 to a .midi

Luckily, with a little knowhow on .mp3s it's pretty easy to reduce the file size by compromising the quality. I opened up Audicity just now and removed some empty space from the beginning of the song and the end (so it will loop smoothly) and after saving the file it's already about 5 MB lighter (and sounds identical).

I can work on making it even smaller for you if you'd like. Wink

Also- don't let the file size get in the way of making an awesome game.

support every (Not so much but...) music format... MP3 OGG, and it is like TGF ^^
Ahahah.. wow, does it really allow .mp3? Cool. I suppose I could do that, but in that case, I won't be adding in the musics until the very end of the overall game.

Naah, I know there are some out there, I used to have a trial of one a long time ago, but that's no longer any use. Ahahah. Very Sad -- and that's a nice edit of the song too. cheers. Big Grin

I found the SFX on a website called "Mario Fan Games Galaxy", pretty useful. Smile .. I don't know what the heck Hienze meant.. o_O
EDIT: Oh, and if you meant Music, then I got that from vgmusic.com
.. and a new Demo may be out soon. Tongue Just gotta start/finish the second level, and fix up all of the menu screens, etc..

.. and to all the new sprites, they look fantastic!! Great job guys. Big Grin The Koopa looks really cute, rofl. --but I think there may be too much shading to fit the style?? (I'm not good with spriting though) xD

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Heinze - 02-22-2009

I was talking about the effects, like... the sound when you hit block...
Hm... This Twomp is a little strange... I'll see if I can fix it ^^

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - Kairos - 02-22-2009

Tuna

Why'd you save it as a GIF? Screwed up the quality a bit.

Also needs to be a tad bigger.

RE: Project: Superb Mario Bros (!Flash Programmer Wanted!) - tsr moderation staff - 02-22-2009

I tried to make it more abstract like most of the sprites Andrio made.
Rags: how did saving it as a GIF screw up the quality? It looks the same to me as when it was png.
Edit: if you mean the dithering, that was a failed experiment

the spikes were too big... And he open the eys when he comes down.

Here's a start for the Piranha Plant, if anyone wants to finish the sheet with some of the alternate versions using these, go ahead. And I couldn't figure a way to do the leaves so the currents ones can be replaced.
