RE: lemur's N64 rips - Ton - 06-05-2013

Why does Venomoth have that weird outline?

RE: lemur's N64 rips - Garamonde - 06-05-2013

I was about to ask that too, but my guess is that the wings are just textures which use transparency and thus picked up some of the background with them.
can your program make renders with alpha transparency? I mean, it isn't a big problem, but maybe eventually it can be fixed as it is a bit unsightly even if it couldn't be helped at the time.

RE: lemur's N64 rips - lemurboy12 - 06-05-2013

you'd expect this to be easy, but I have a really hard time rendering transparent textures for anything.

Here it is in Misfit Model normally.

Misfit Model's alpha preview is really weird and buggy.

Milkshape 3D shows it inside out (and inverting it does nothing)

Noesis only shows the wings.

Ah, ok. I was just wondering.

RE: lemur's N64 rips - lemurboy12 - 06-05-2013

thank you, perfect, that is like eye candy in comparison

RE: lemur's N64 rips - Garamonde - 06-06-2013

I'm actually working on another, much better render to replace that up there, but first I have to inform you of some issues with Venomoth -- firstly, the 2 textures for the outer eyes are missing their alpha channel, and secondly, the inner eyes have the incorrect texture applied (like, the highlight is using the wrong one, and the other texture is outright missing). hope you can fix these problems!
