Well, it seems like I got the textures to look right, but it doesn't look too seamless. I guess this is better than nothing, though!
Not really sure how to fix some of the asymmetrical texture seams or merge all the meshes into one, though.

Exporting from SMD with ohana merges everything together. I know that in blender you ctrl+j to merge meshes togehter (I.E: Eye polygon and body polygons) and remove doubles to smooth it out. I don't know max that well, sorry.

C-C-C-C-Combo breaker.
I have a bunch of Overworld NPCs pending, 45 to be exact. All Gym Leaders, Protagonists, Antagonists, Elite Four, and a few trainer classes. Seeing how Peardian has made it to February submissions, it shouldn't be too long before most of them are approved or denied. Thanked by: B. Rodip

I already had the Nurse, Poke Mart Clerk, & Mr. Bonding pending along side all the others(All submitted around February 17th - February 21st), but thanks to you reminding me of what else was missing I have them submitted now too.
Thank you for ripping and uploading all XY/ORAS overworld character models! That's so awesome.
I thought about one more character that could be ripped, though. Namely, the Gym Guide (he's the same model in XY and ORAS). By the way, I wonder if Captain Stern is an unique model, or just a recolor of Gentleman? He still looks quite unique, though.

So i load up the models from the site on 3ds max, but i keep getting this

Hello to everyone ripping here! I know it's Final Exam time so everyone is super busy, but I have a few questions that I would appreciate to be answered.
1: Are these models technically "hacked" as they are ripped from XY/ORAS? 2: Which file from the download for each mon works for Maya? (if there is one) 3: Can I animate in Maya with these models? I would like to nullify all my previous requests and request Shaymin Land and Sky Forme + certain Calem/Male customizable parts from XY. Thanks!! |
