Boy, I hate assembly sheets. And I don't mean stuff like Halberd Reactor, I mean assembly sheets for stuff like Heavy Lobster and Wham Bam Rock.

C'mon, man. The goal of this project is to rip all of the sprites from the game as they are, not to re-arrange said sprites a thousand times over just to make it easier for you to place them in an animation or comic. Think about it: Because the game pieces together all Heavy Lobster's parts, his movements are much more fluid, and therefore would take a much longer time to rip than, say, Galacta Knight (who came in pieces too! Be thankful I spent all that time piecing him together). With Heavy Lobster being as large as he is (and, as the case may be, Wham Bam Rock), and as many poses as would have to be ripped, it'd be a needlessly gigantic sheet that would limit the user's creativity and wouldn't get any more thanks or yield more satisfaction than the normal sheet would.

Believe me, I wanted to rip Heavy Lobster as you said, with all of his poses, etc., but I quickly realized it wasn't worth the time and effort. I give examples as a compromise: An example for standing, jumping, dashing, attacking, etc. etc.

I for one would rather have everyone post assembly sheets and be able to move on to other sheets than have everyone stuck on long, drawn-out sheets that slow down ripping progress.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that. You might want to go ahead and take some credit on that since it looks like you did more than I did.

Technically Marx Soul still needs to be updated as well. Once that's done the bosses should be complete.

As far as the Sword sheet goes, I just finished putting all the basic sprites together. All I have left are the underwater sprites and the attacks to go.

We're almost done! If only someone could figure out how to get all the cards from the Swipe game ...

As I said for the Lololo and Lalala sheets, I don't really need to take credit if I help someone else, so you can still take full credit for ripping it.

I can look into that after I've updated both Wham Bam Rock and Wham Bam Crystal (with the assembled hands).

How many cards are in the Card Swipe? I ask because I just did a once through for each level and I'm going to rip which ones I come across. If there is any I miss, RTB can pick up the slack.

EDIT
It's a start

I'm going to do another run through because I know there were some that I forgot.

I don't know if this is all of them, but it's a lot.

Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

The Normal Enemy sheet has problems with the palettes. Kabu has Lovely's pallete, and Slippy has Blipper's.
Thanked by:
Actually, Slippy and Blipper use the same palette (either waters or waters2, whichever isn't used by Glunk). You're right about Kabu though, I guess I wasn't paying attention when I was doing it.

Not quite. Marx Soul is still missing some poses.

Yeah, I figured that out already...

I'm pretty sure that's not all of them, but that's a pretty good start!

The default card color is wrong though. It should be more of a pink; close to the same color as Kirby. Of course in theory there might be a different color card for each player; I haven't been able to play multiplayer to find out though. Anybody know?

Pink like this:

If yeah, the other 3 use the other's colors.

Err, quick question. Regarding Beam Kirby, are all of his movement sprites in another file? Not the hats by the way.
Thanked by:
I think you're going to have to clarify that a bit more ... I'm not sure exactly what it is you're asking.

(01-05-2009, 12:44 PM)Seiryus Tear Wrote: Err, quick question. Regarding Beam Kirby, are all of his movement sprites in another file? Not the hats by the way.

There are two different files for each hat: One containing ability-specific poses, which also include the kirby sprites for those poses, (I believe these are the a<hat> (acut, ajet, etc.) files) and another file containing only hats (the c<hat> (ccut, cjet, etc.) files). These c<hat> files do not contain any Kirby sprites: The hats must be placed on plain Kirby sprites. In a sense, yes: Movement and basic actions are contained in one file while ability-specific actions are in another.

I believe RTB said earlier that one of the files used is actually labeled as mirror (It'd be 'cmir' I believe), due to the fact that Mirror and Beam use the same sprites with only different palettes. I have not confirmed this.

Does that answer your question?

Yeah. The cmir.b has all of the common animations (standing, walking, running, etc.), while abea.b has all of the Beam-specific animations.

Is that what he meant? He said "not the hats" which is what confused me. Like he's looking for the actual Kirby sprites themselves.
