Anyway… To get the topic back on track, GameXplain recently released their review of Super Mario 3D World.

Considering how much of the game they praised and how little they criticized, I'd say it's a very fair review.

I believe theres been 36 reviews so far, about 10 or so being perfect scores, most of thers being 90 and up, and two being 80s (I believe both were 4 out of 5 stars on their respective sites), so I have some high hopes for this game.

Oh yeah I think it's pretty obvious this game is going to be amazing!

Nintendo has totally stepped their game up this gen

I REALLLY want a Wii U

You say that now, just like you might have said that when you saw Galaxy on the Wii. Then by the end of the gen I find people have forgotten all the great games the system had.

Since you mentioned it, Koopaul, I find it really sad that most people only remember the games from the NES to the Nintendo 64. While I can't argue that the games on those systems were classics, some people just seem to forget that the newer consoles had equally memorable games, too.

I actually made a topic about the Wii. Everyone acted like it had little to no good games.

The Wii was not a good time for most of Nintedo's franchises, in my opinion, but the console is not devoid of good titles by any means.

Spoilers for the main worlds 1-7 outta 8.

Also, updated the op! Most of the bosses' names and worlds have been revealed, as well as world themes.

I didn't like Galaxy

Wii had a very limited library

You kidding? It revived Donkey Kong Country, Wario Land, and Kirby's Dreamland, and Punch-Out!! franchises. It had amazing original games like MadWorld, Little King's Story, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Pandora's Tower, and Xenoblade.

There was also fun games like Rhythm Heaven Fever and Kirby's Epic Yarn.

People just could see these great games through the mess of shovelware.

I think you and your long list of third-party titles couldn't see the latter half of my sentence through the "Nintendo didn't do so hot" portion. I'm very aware, and very vocal, about the armada of great titles produced for the console by third-parties.

Admittedly, I haven't gotten the chance to play Return to Dream Land yet, but I've tried most of the other ones you mentioned and the only one that stands out as a phenomenal game is Wario Land: ShakeIt! while Punch-Out!! is just a good game (though on the higher end of that spectrum). DKCR had the potential to be good, but I can't shake the waggle control. Is it more responsive with Wii Motion +? I might like it a lot more if it is.

I don't see why it would be more responsive

It does feel better when you're playing with Nunchuk controls since it's way less awkward to drum the two sticks as opposed to slam an awkwardly-shaped NES controller, plus the buttons are easier to use and the shaking is more... I dunno, active? So it picks it up better, maybe? I think most people complaining about unresponsive motion controls aren't using the Nunchuk. I've never played without it and never had any problems getting the roll to work.

Not to mention you don't need to hold down a run button with the Control Stick, which is the nice.

If you still can't get over the controls you should look into the 3DS version. Because DKCR is a game not to be missed out on.

Check out this review blog thing I do! Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch was the latest review!

It's the somersault maneuver that I've had trouble with. DK only picks up the command occasionally. Usually my jumps fall short because he didn't roll/I hit an enemy. It got frustrating enough for me to put it down.
