I don't know if you use it, but a good mix of vSNES and SaveStage-LoadStage (with the emulator paused) in helping me a lot. You pause the emulator (not the game) and go frame by frame...

By the way, awesome work as usual!!!
Has Shao Kahn from MK2 the same sprites from MK3/UMK3?
You only finish a game when you rip its sprites.
Sprite sheet is a sticker album that depends only on your efforts to be fill.

If you're using ZSNES, then you can pause (I have it set to a shortcut key) and go frame by frame (also set to a key) and take a screenshot of each frame (<- same as the others)! Big Grin

It's very cool, I was actually using AnimGet before I discovered it myself when I was ripping SNES sprites. :I

You might try an emulator with layer function and use animget. Sure, it takes time, but works
I believe Shao Kahn got different sprites, they re-did all the graphics in MK3/UMK3

Maybe, maybe not. He had the same actor for 2 and 3, so it is possible they used the same graphics.

Right, don't laugh but this is how I did it. I use Snes9x for 99% of my ripping, but using ZSNES I would pick Shang Tsung P1, anyone P2. Perform Shang Tsung Soul Steal fatality, THEN i would pause the emulator, slow the game play down to about -10 (you can do that in CONGIF/SPEED settings) Then pause/save state every frame, open save state with VSNES disable all the tick boxes I don't need, Job done Tongue

The only reason it took the piss doing it my way is because I had to press F2 on the exact frame every time, and if I miss a frame I had to restart the game and try again Cry

I did the exact same thing when ripping everyone's arms doing Jax's arm rip fatality because the arms go BEHIND jax making them tricky to rip.

Let me know if any of this don't make any sense

Has for Shao Kahn, I think he is exactly the same in MK3/UMK3 like MK2 Raiden is the same as UMK3 Raiden. Besides I'm going to rip Shao Kahn anyway, That way the MK2 section is complete Wink

There must be some sort of cheat to let you play as Shao Khan, right? Or is he already playable? Been years since I last played the game.
