jeb released it for "expert players can find bugs".

also if you use a furnace your game will crash, just reopen it and it'll be doing furnace things

Mine didn't crash from a furnace, though when I died in SMP, the server lagged to hell the nether and back, thanks to all those exp orbs I dropped apparently.

And used some of that to make a Cobblestone Machine/Incinerator:


This design for the cobblestone machine may be a tad inefficient, but allows me to have an Incinerator also, effectively maximizing space in my workshop.

it doesnt crash smp.

1.8 legitimately released, for the people who didnt want to use the prerelease

I can't download it! It says it can't connect to minecraft.net.
I checked notch's twitter to find:

I manged to download it alright, maybe the server is just packed.

and I made my house reasonably enderman-proof and everything :c

i've only seen ONE enderman so far and it got killed by sunlight

it dropped an ender pearl; what do they do?

I don't think they do anything, at the moment.

Also: Scaling the side of a ravine, looked at an enderman at the bottom, he teleported behind me to ground level, walked over the edge, and fell to his death

there is a ravine I found under the ocean

I totally need to explore it somehow
