I may be a bit late, but the "this site is frequented by kids" or "this site wants a better image" arguments are tired and incongruent with actual facts. If you really wanted such a site, you'd go GameFAQs on us and actually make this site friendly - censoring swearing, not allowing flaming, no flame baiting, etc. Hey, Dazz, didn't you just do these three things because you were getting fed up with 1up? Don't ask stuff from people if you can't really do any better yourself. Not having almost-nude girls as avatars or sigs may make the site look "safer" on the outside, but inside it's the same thing.

Either way, I'm happy the girls are not allowed anymore since my dad noticed me browsing this website the other day and he asked me if I was in some sort of lesbian website or something. It was embarrassing. :C

his comment about my opinion constantly getting in the way of the staff's way of doing things is complete bullshit because this is literally the first time i've done something about a staff decision since zee was a mod
I honestly do not care about the decision to remove suggestive avatars, if Dazz wants to get rid of it, fine. If he wants me to stop being as rude in Sprite Discussion, that's fine, I've already been trying to cut back on that

Literally the only reason i've been acting like a dick in this thread is because people have this attitude of "YEAH, STOP USING SUGGESTIVE AVATARS, YOU'RE GIVING MY UNDERAGED PENIS A BONER!!!!!! I MEAN, I'M BLATANTLY IGNORING THE TERMS OF REGISTRATION(Underaged members are for some reason exempt from bans lately, explain that to me) BY BEING 9 YEARS OLD AND VIEWING THIS FORUM, BUT YEAH, YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE FORUM AROUND TO MEET MY NEEDS!!!!!"
I realize not all of the people who have a problem with the suggestive avatars were underaged, but really
why make pictures of a girl's face have more weight when considering a ban than the fact that a member is too young to be here in the first place?

The kids that join here should be the BIGGER problem instead of images (I mean, what the fuck, it's even on the agreement rules n' shit)

Sometimes when I use the internet in a public place I'm subjected to avatars of half naked chicks and hot sigs and all that. If this is really big problem, you guys you can always go to your User CP and go to Thread View Options -> Disable Users' Avatars and Signatures next time you decide to browse TSR at work. Shizzam! No avatars or sigs to worry about. Too lazy to do it at work? Do it the night before, when you go to bed!

I hate it when people use the argument "turn off avatars and sigs" or "adblock the images" in cases like these. Avatars are extremely useful for identifying posts quickly, and makes scolling through topics a lot easier. Signatures are... well, they go hand-in-hand, and I'm too used to them being there that I would miss them if they were turned off (and sometimes have good content in them, however, uncommonly).

I'm not disabling them because of a few people.

And also, I am not going to go through and adblock every single one of them. It's not difficult, but it's really annoying that people can't be assed to change them because they want their nerd boners.
