Very true you can't use reviews as evidence. But it is still clear that video games have gone downhill.
And that's another part of this whole thing; in this regard "downhill" is just as subjective. Gaming hasn't gone downhill, the quality of games haven't decreased, gaming as a whole has simply changed. You can try and argue that it's "worse", but ultimately that's only because you feel alienated due to the fact that it doesn't pander to your interests and your criteria for entertainment.
we're used to platformers and figthing games. thats why.
I just think that gamers in general are spoiled. At least I can enjoy myself with a Peggle or a LittleBigPlanet.

That's because they're not shovelware.

If gamers are spoiled for not wanting shovelware, I can't imagine what them NOT being spoiled would be.
