is Nintendo reaching a turning point? Only time will tell, but frankly I'm excited.

(I don't know why nobody noticed this is a big announcement: Kirby for Wii!)
It's not much of a turning point if they're going out of their way to release the same series as they did a decade ago, instead of pursuing new IPs.
It is when they haven't released anything of those series in over 5 years in certain systems. Surprise

I'm not pushing for Nintendo to just roll back the clock, but so that when they get there, they can get back on track to where Nintendo was supposed to be right now 5 years ago. Its like going back to the fork in the road.

Besides, they gotta stabilize the market right now before they pursue new IP's. Unfortunately, this involves making up for a lot of crap peripherals/shovelware.
From the looks of it, that Kirby Wii game isn't dead after all. But screw Kirby, gimme S&P2 plz Heart

5 years ago they weren't as successful as they are now.

You just don't understand how rich they got from all the games that we hate. Just because they might make a game we like doesn't mean it'll make them the money that Wii Sports Holiday Plus will make.
actually this might make them even more money. im guessing the main reason less people played the iconic gc games, metroid, zelda, and all that, is because less people had a gc. so now that everyone and their dog has a wii the games will probably sell a lot better
Nazo no Murasamejo, Star Tropics, and Adventures of Lolo need a new game, Punch Out got one.
fuck YES KIRBY WII
also Cosmic Walker seems to be an awesome game
well it's about time they got a new kirby game on the wii

hopefully it'll use it's full potential

when it has been announced since 2006, it's not exactly a "new" game
Kirby Forever.
Does no body else remember the wait between Metroid games? No one? How is releasing sequels of old franchises something new?
And turning point? Guaranteed money would be a better term.
I think it's more like "'fans' finally getting it".
If us fans finally 'got it' we'd have a console Kirby game, a GOOD on-rails Star Fox game and a god damn 2D Metroid (not to mention we would have got Mother 3). Games which have been promised/teased or mentioned by Nintendo many a time but still we don't get them.

Nintendo is a cock tease.

Minus the jab at SF Assault I'm an all over this. Assault was something, in a very dry period be thankful for even that. But yeah Goemy's got it pegged, Nintendo is that chick in the cafe who says one day you guys will find the time to shag, but never do. Str8 up, tease>block sometimes.T_T
