What Koopa Gang?
And what mode are we talking about?

Wart, Waluigi, Fawful...(don't know how that would be possible), May be Midbus, because all he did was get frozen, so the ice should have melted, maybe both Princess Shroobs, um...thats all I got right now, besides Petey. We could have two bosses from each series.
In the Super Mario World, for the SNES, each Castle was ruled by one of Bowsers kids, i forgot what the were called as a group.

They now have two names, either the Koopalings, or Koopa Kids. But that won't make any since, because the Koopa kids wont go and vs Bowser or Jr.
KOOPALINGS! That was it. I knew that would be weird, but i think they could still work.
Here's my idea for Adventure Mode. When we have the basic cast (Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, etc) and no unlockables, it's pretty straightforward. Like Adventure Mode on Melee. A short Mushroom Kingdom stage, Yoshi fight, Bowser fight, move on to Zelda world, continue. But as more characters are unlocked, the longer adventure mode becomes. For instance, after Luigi is unlocked, there's the Yoshi midboss, a skirmish with Mario, Luigi, and Peach, then Bowser and Bowser Jr. The Zelda stage could be A short dungeon and duel with Link and Zelda. Then Ganondorf, then something like Metal Ganondorf. Then you take on all four Toon Links from the Four Swords and it progresses.

Mushroom Kingdom - Yoshis - Kingdom Continued - Mario - Bowser

to

Mushroom Kingdom - Yoshis - Kingdom Continued - Mario, Luigi, and Peach- Bowser and Jr

Next stage

Zelda Dungeon - Link and Zelda/Sheik

to

Zelda Dungeon - Link and Zelda/Sheik - Ganondorf - Metal Ganondorf (Link as your partner)- Toon Link x4

The "Story" and branches would have to be experimented with, but that's the general idea. We could also throw custom bosses in if we want to like Klubba in DKC or Wham Bam Rock or something
I think the only way for the Koopalings to be enemies is if Bowser and Jr. are at first enemies, and then go and become allies of the Heroes, like what Bowser, and Gannondwarf did in Brawl.

Also, think of it more like Melee's Adventure Mode than the Subspace Emmissary.
I like your idea, but it will get too complicated to code, won't it?
If Kraid is still going to be a boss then I call dibs, I've got a custom sprite of him I never finished that I can style-change.

Not really.

Upon getting to location, activate FirstFight1.
After fight, if Char1Unlocked and Char2Unlocked are both ON, then activate FirstFight2.

This would mean that once you get to a certain area, it would run the first set of whatever NPC's you'd have in FirstFight1. When you win, it checks if you have two certain characters unlocked. If you do, it runs another fight in the same area.

Granted, this is very much in layman's terms, but if we can get the general events coded, adding these extra fights would be of no issue.
Yeah, that'd probaby one of the EASIER parts of coding everything. xD

As for the Koopa Kids, I've always fantasized about all seven of them being a secret boss. Essentially, you'd fight them all in succession, maybe groups of two or three attacking at once and then sort of tag teaming out. I dunno, could be fun. I had fantasized pretty much the same idea for the Axem Rangers too.
I think we should either just have 1 boss from each series, or have 1 boss for each character in the series.

So if the game had 32 characters, we'd have 32 bosses. I could probably come up with a good list.

Well we DO have Geno. Though I think Exor would be a better choice.
