So, wait. They've made a movie that's 90+ minutes based off of a book that's less than 50 pages and is comprised mostly of illustrations?

...Well, it can't be worse than The Cat and the Hat.

Won't see it in movie form.

you've disappointed me with this post, vaporsnook. you clearly judge books by their cover. i bet your a racist too who hates arabs.
book isn't a bad read, it's 393 words. if you want and have a day on skype I'll read it to you

-Carol rips of Douglass's arm in anger. RIPS IT OFF.
-Max climbs inside of KW's mouth to hide from Carol.
i actually shit my pants at these parts. i stunk up the theater.

however i almost lost it when douglass later had a tree branch sticking out of where his arm belongs
oh and i loved how the theater was filled with older viewers and not a bunch of babies esp. on a friday opening show
man it felt like i was watching the power rangers movie, but I really have to say it has a real feel-good vibe about it until the depressing ending - but it's really quite phenomenal to see the Spike Jonze really paid attention to the book's every detail and its wording.

only thing that pissed me off is that Max's room doesn't suddenly turn into the jungle, he RUNS AWAY FROM HOME AND GETS ON A BOAT
THIS TOTALLY KILLS THE IDEA THAT MAX IS USING HIS IMAGINATION AND BLURS IMAGINATION AND REALITY MAKING THE VIEWER THINK THAT MAX ACTUALLY WENT TO THE LAND OF THE WILD THINGS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAJDKLJFKSLDJFKLJ

BE STILL! I'LL EAT YOU UP*breaks houses, climbs on trees, dogpile with monsters*
It was cute, and sad, and at some parts scary.

Not really for children. It's for the people who loved the book as children, more like.
I guess the problem for me was that they took a 14 page book, made it into a 2-hour movie, and didn't bother to add any new content.
I haven't seen it.
Don't let yourself be influenced by other people's oppinions, distinguished gentleman.
Go see it anyways.
Now.
i love the book, and when i first heard they were making a movie, i had that moment of excitement. but then the preveiws came and i was turned off immediatly by the bullshit randomness of it.

Just saw this movie. It was okay, except for the excessive screaming and random outbreaks of anger Very Sad
