We don't accept recolors.
It has to be either ripped from a game, edited from a pre existing sprite character from a game, or customed it the fashion of the game in general.
It's not because someone's else have done it before that makes it's right again.
This one was a "devamp", which means they 'downgraded' the character into some other older style.
In
your case you just picked up one random sprite and used the 'fill/gradient' tool. That's not one edit, it's just a recolor. And it's not that awesomeness either if you ask me.
Anyway the standard thing to do on that edits is to post them at
sprite discussion to C+C and only after that they decide to upload. Or not.
Okay, so I just added gradiant... but at least I wasn't too lazy to make a pallette then Use the eyedrop. It was hard!

I guess, but I just find it kinda insulting as well that a guy who did nothing but add a gradient to ripped sprites would question my own sheet that I spent hours on. (Believe it or not.)

You might have, although I made this quite a while ago. I started a May one somewhat recently. (Though I never did get around to doing the finishing touches and submitting it.)
