It depends on your browser. In Safari/Chrome, it stretches the avatar area. In Firefox, it makes additional rows.

I was thinking this, and if we decide to make smaller awards I wouldn't mind making them myself.
I do think the awards are rather ugly (made them myself..)

Though I'm not sure how easy it is to change the sprites.
You could display them on your profile.
Easy enough to change the awards, but again you guys are just coming up with ideas that don't actually change the fact that there is no point to them and makes the actual 1st, 2nd and 3rd award less meaningful.

I thought Devicho meant that you should replace those award icons with smaller ones, not that you shouldchange the awards themselves. Like, there still would be only first, second and third place awards.
Well, I was thinking of including the participation badges as well, but those could be axed if they really need to be.
How about awards displayed directly in the profile, and then a smaller 10x10 badge in gold/silver/copper colors in the username section of posts. That way a 2nd row doesn't look so annoying.

and pleeeeaaase wait a little longer, I actually wanna enjoy the one I have now! I just got it. :C
The way I see it, participation badges should either not show up in posts, or have no image at all; that way they wouldn't break tables.

Problem with that is, instead of the images being completely gone, they'd just show up as broken images, and the problem would continue to surface...

Unless you used like, a 1x1 transparent pixel or something. But that might make other peoples' 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards look out of place if they have a lot of participation badges.
Would it be possible to make an accumulative award, where the award only gains a little number on the side (like 2 would have a little 2, 3 would have a 3, etc.) rather than showing each one?

This is a grand idea too.
Well, I made a few ribbons for replacements in the off-chance that anyone would want to use them.

They could use a lot of work, though. If anyone wants to edit them have at it.
they're so purdy
You could move them under the signature space.

I suppose that could work, but even so - if someone got a lot of participation badges it'd stretch on smaller resolutions.
