They look kind of like edits to me?

Or am I missing another meaning to 'custom'?

Semi-custom? Edits are edits, no matter how much work was put into them or how good they look.

have you tried animating these? They don't look like they'd animate well.

Also, what is up with the heads.

Actually in regard to the heads I do have a critique- the back of the head looks like the front minus eyes. If you look at the link I provided in my previous post, you'll see that the back of the head has a different form than the front.
