Super Mario 3D World [WII U]. Yeah, it's that new Mario game. I remember when the first trailers were made public, back in Byakuren knows when. Well, it's out now, and it's pretty dang fantastic. Here's some reasons why:

1. PEACH IS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER.
No kidding. If I had to say what's the one thing I've been looking forward to about this game since day one, that would probably be the multiple playable characters. Which yes, also includes that one princess some people call, and I quote, the eternal "dumbass in distress"*.

2. THE CAT SUIT.
Say what you want, but I find the Cat Suit a cute idea, if a little comical. At first my only thoughts about it were "Heh, new power-up.", but as I played the game I opened up to it quite a bit.
It also made for a downright hysterical endgame, which I won't spoil for those who haven't played it yet.

3. THE MUSIC SCORE.
While playing the game, try taking a moment to listen to the background music. Pretty smooth stuff, huh?
Makes me glad there's actually a soundtrack release** for this game.

As of this post, I've pretty much completed the entire game. Or close to, anyway.

* Don't ask me where I've heard that. Trust me on this.
** Yeah, I know it's only in Japan. I'm just glad there's a soundtrack release period.
i got Rayman Origin and Legends on PC
but going to complete the Rayman Origin first
Ape Escape 3
Spelunky. I've managed to get the shortcuts to the jungle and ice caves areas, but the last step to getting the temple shortcut is bringing the gold key from the first area to the beginning of the temple. FFFFFFFFFFFFFHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Been tryin' to finish Paper Mario: Sticker Star. I took a long break at the Yoshi Sphinx, but now I'm looking for Wiggler segments. It's pretty fun.
Mario's Picross. I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would, so I'm glad I decided to get it after all. Then again, I love puzzles such as this, so it's pretty much right up my alley.

I'm also working my way through Wind Waker (GCN), which my friend let me borrow. I never got to finish it because it came out when I was stupid kid and only appreciated non-cartoony games, so I ended up trading it. I'd thought that it was a huge mistake for years, but now that I have the chance to give it a go it really isn't anything special. It's not a bad game, but there are better ones in the franchise. Well, now I know.

Also still rolling through Dillon.
Beat Sequence, awesome game. The ending was pretty cool, final boss was a surprising but nice challenge, and they narrated the credits which was really, really cool. I'm going to continue playing, there's some "secret" extra stuff to do, and I'll probably try and get the rest of the achievements as well.

Blank
Alien Swarm. Just started yesterday with my boyfriend and Anathema, as with any new game I am stumbling on getting used to everything but it seems cool. The only thing that bugs me ATM is the reloading system but again, just another new interface item that I need to simply familiarize myself with.
Going to try dwarf fortress for the first time
FF4: Got the Excalibur and the Lunar Whale/Mystical Ship. I still have to defeat Leviathan and Bahamut (I'm playing the SNES version BTW).
I got addicted to league of legends, oops.

Either way it's fun, as long as you don't play with asshats.
