The VG Resource

I want to try an animation of a rather hefty man punching. Do any of you know of a good reference for this? Such as game sprites or anything you think might be helpful? I've never sprited a punch before so anything would help. I tried looking through fighting game sprites but I don't really play them so I wouldn't really know where to start.

Street Fighter sprites would be the place to start. Probably Zangief.

or Bowser, if you need a really heavy reptilian dragon-kappa-turtle thing.

any fighting game should have it really. street fighter, garou: mark of the wolves, king of fighters.
