I actually like that idea! There are already lots of moves that are similar to others without being exactly the same (like Ikes > B and Peaches > B, Peaches up B and Mr G&W's up B etc.), so its fine as far as im concerned.
Well Duster actually uses it in Mother 3, but in Brawl Lucas is the one using it.
It would be different if they were both just whips, but they both have exactly the same item.

Why doesn't anybody care for this project anymore?
Now that we have a SSB Wii U/3DS speculation thread this is the time to make the project have it's big comeback.
That stance is all sorts of messed up. The way he's holding his shield is especially awkward.
I think the shield should be moved to the left a bit, and maybe face us a little more.

Which stance looks better and which shield should we use?
I vote on the right one.

WIP idle animation.
I know the cap and hair movement needs to be worked on, but is there anything else?

Edit: Can't decide which ones best.

Pretty much the same, but the second one has one extra frame for it's starting sprite.
why is the foot sliding
Oops, managed to misplace his feet in some sprites.

The feet are moving to give it some more motion, but I made one with feet motion and one without, so which one looks best?
The right one definitely.
I still think it would be better if the Links were completely sideways facing forward. For gameplay reasons, which I personally put above all else, even style.

I think we actually tried it once with a stance more like this: [Image: newexample.png]
if you want to give the feet motion, don't actually make them move. alter them slightly and give them more of a bounce.

Why exactly would he need to syand sideways for gameplay reasons, wasn't there decided that he only should defend himself with the shield when he was crouching.

Also, decided to post everything I got.
