i did a bit of recunstruction hows this

I would keep that sprite though. It looks like something it would do during it's idle, when it looks around.

Did some editing to make it cleaner and a bit more simple, tried to make a better tail, didn't do so well :/

Try and make the feet connected to a stubby leg rather than just the whole body itself.

I'd thin his body a pixel and give him some kind of legs. Awesome start.

For some reason, it looked like his head was leaning...Tried to fix it:

I think you should remove that light eybrow pixel above his left eye...
It makes it seem like he's got an attitude. =P

Pikachu's head bothers me. I think it's too small. Also the mouth needs adjusting. It should look something like "3".

I tried to work on the mouth...

Thats the idea, but it looks very odd IMO.
