I've been trying this out and I must say that it's rather fun. Only thing I've done differently is skip the yellowing step and just pick base colors for each part. So I kind go from step 1 to 3. but still awesome stuff and i can't wait for your next tuorial.

I just love old-school Sam.
Hope you like Smile
Mod edit:

Don't steal Previous's stuff and claim it as your own. Make it from scratch. Practice.

That's all.
Tut tut. You've done diagonal shading and haven't taken in count Mario's volume and shapes. The leg on the right is too far forward. The colours should be vibrant like the original's.
IMAGE REMOVED FOR STEALING
That's far better, good job Smile
Just make the colours nice and bright.

Of course it is, thank you.

Anyways, nice tutorial, Tyvon. May give it a shot one day... but I don't feel like pixeling lately. :/
Whatever.

Nice!
I'd change the shape of the ear lobe, though.

You didn't make that, Previous did.

There rest are a minor eye edit and a flip.
What? He didn't? Post proof of your accusation, please.
Right here in the thread.

I should've worded it better though. Previous did the reshade, but he's still acting like he did it.
YEAH! IM NOT THAT GOOD AT SHADING!!
Practice. You're not going to get awesome with it overnight.

I've been spriting for four years now, and I'm still not perfect.
