Due to a disagreement with the admin over what constitutes a 'request' and the fact that it's pretty obvious that I won't be getting along with the staff here, I've decided to take my business elsewhere.

The project will be managed personally by me until I feel like throwing together a website to more appropriately keep things together.

If anyone else cares to make some cash making sprites, feel free to drop me a PM and chances are that I'll see it eventually. Understand that I am not REQUESTing anything. If you prove you can do the work, you will be paid for it.

So this project is not closed. But will no longer be maintained at Spriter's Resource. Thanks for understanding. (To the few people that might care)
No requesting, read the rules of this board before making threads here.

Reopened as this is commission based and thus a paid role. Not requesting so much as hiring.

Prices should be layed out more obviously though...
Thanks tons, Dazz! I'll get right on cleaning up my initial post when I get home from work in a few hours and add some baseline pricing. Cute And try to get a mini-client up for people to see what I'm doing here as per Groove's advice, though it may have the nuts cut out of it to help keep certain aspects of my project hushed. Patent pending and all that jazz.

Edit: Some basic pricing information added. More to come later.
I think I can help you out.
Do you have a certain style in mind for the sprites?(Pm or Tales of Worlds, etc..)
Any images of how the character have to look and the clothes, items ans so on?

Well, the best comparison I could come up with would be Castlevania. What I am working on is on online side-scroller, ala Maple Story. But geared towards a different audience. Far more mature, for one thing, with noticable gameplay differences. I've been working with placeholder sprites from sites like this and other public domain sources, so I can't really give you a -great- comparison, but I could probably come up with some full-scale art for comparison. I'll PM you about it.
No one really looks here. I'd suggest asking a mod/admin to move this to sprite discussion, and also breaking that wall of text down into an intro and then some bullet points.
You're looking for a Castlevania-esque style ?
Do you have any drawings of characters already finished ? They don't have to be sprites. Monsters, too. It helps to show an example of what you expect and some concept drawings so we not only know that something's actually going to come out of us doing this (albeit if we're getting paid we're probably not going to care so much), and so we can get an idea of what we have to do before we do it.

I would suggest that you post some concepts coupled with the descriptions.
Bill> Yeah, I'm not so good with stuff like that. I'm planning to try to clean up the intro there a bit. That's just what I could throw together with little to no sleep this morning with the time constraints of being at work. But I'm really fine with the topic being wherever it needs to be.

Tyv> Yeah, Think Maple Story with a -much- more serious undertone ala Castlevania. Unfortunately I have no monsters to work with either. Literally just using rips for -everything right now as placeholders simply so I can code. I've had trouble finding sprites that even come close to what I am looking for, but I did find a different game that seems to have a sort of cutesy approach to the whole anthro thing on a more 3D / isometric / free roam setting. It's called Furcadia. (I'm surprised I've never heard of it before.) Advertising/linking to other sites, especially sprite resources is agains the rules right? If not, I'll put up a link. If so, I'll work on posting some pictures of the more appealing models.

I only have one particular art ref that is.. Well.. Non-pornographic.. (You try finding furry images that don't have a dick or set of tits hanging out.. Cute) How does one post pictures directly into a thread? Simply attaching them?

Ah. Another good ref. Everquest II. I forgot about that. They have tons of anthro races. Of particular interest to me is a frog race like theirs. Well, not like theirs. I want my own unique feel. They also have a rat race that appeals to me. (You'd think EQII ref would have cam straight to mind since I literally just bought the game today having been sold on it after what I saw of the free character generator. Which would actually be a great source ref if I can find it again.)

Perfect world has canine races and pandas for reference.
Nonono, I mean sprite style, not gameplay.
Do you have a sprite style planned or is it just whatever we send you you work with?
It'd be really helpful to everyone if you have at least an idea, even if it's just posting multiple sprite styles, that's something to work with.
Well, alot of the above references are geared around the character modeling I'm looking for, not gameplay.

Ehe.. I'm ready to post some examples, as I pointed out before. I just want to make sure I don't break the rules. I've been reprimanded once today already. Cute Hence why I asked the appropriate way to post some pics on here? I seem to recall reading something about not externally linking, so how would I go about putting pics straight into a post and I'll show you what I'm talking about.
to Nicodareus, if you want to post an image, use

also I don't intend to sound mean, but mabelma isn't good enough for what you're looking for. Just saying.
BAB and tyvon are definitely your best choices on this forum though
Thanks.. I'll get right to work on posting some images. n.n Most forums I work with have imaging disabled so I had no clue. Ehe.

Thanks for the advice too, but I'll see what he has to offer at least. I like to judge people for myself.

Good to know that I've got a couple of pros apparently interested though. That makes me feel much better.
Well, if you really need examples of my work, just check out my Pixeljoint account. I'm already working on a 2D fighting game (note: i'm getting paid for this project too) so chances are I can adapt to what you're looking for.

Wow. Yeah, you got some nice stuff in there. Slap some fur on those fighter models and I think we're in business. I modified my third post above with a few furcadia reference models. I wanted to add alot more, but my right mouse button isn't working and it took an unbelievably long time just to get that pasted in.. >.< I'll add more as soon as I come up with a new mouse. Which I'm considering going after right now.
