By "Avatar" He means a character that represents you.

But either way your avatar looks like crap.

EDIT: I'm like Gorsal I'd rather you have a set style. Before I join.

Dude you know me so well.
Any ways I'm also with this guys you really need a style for the project.
I know it looks like crap but it's because I wanted to achieve the "hey what the fuck is that" kind of thing.
It's very simple if I say so myself.
[attachment=1792]ok, i know that i can use imageshack to upload my file, but i cant be bothered at the mo, so here.
My avatar sprite in hakkun i'd like to join this i can make a full sheet of hakkun.
No. No. No.

Not a character in your avatar, a fan character or alter-ego.

Once again, not really your avatar.

OP, I still think Bandicoota shouldn't be accepted with Crash. Though, if he made his own Bandicoot fan-character, it's cool.
Mabelma, not much of your work is good - so stop acting like gold comes out your ass.

But yeah this sounds fun, though a style is definitely needed before anything can really be started.
I'm not acting like that I just said that I don't like edits and that they look like crap so leave me alone.
Anyways Goemar shut up you don't even like me.
If my work is so bad why don't you critic it instead id talking shit about it.
If you wish to argue with me please do it with PM's. This project shows promise so I don't want to clutter it up with a silly argument Wink

What style is the first thing actually in anyway, if that does become the style of the project?
Thanks, Goemar. That discussion was getting on my nerves.

About the style... I think we should follow the tSR SSB Project style. It's a small, well-detailed and smooth style. Also I kinda agree with Mabelma: shitty edits shouldn't be included. I think that this project would look cooler if your avatar is original (or else, this thread would be filled by several Sonic recolors).
That is a pretty cool style. It also means it will be my first made from scratch sprite in probably over a year - God it's going to take some doing.
Guess were waiting for a response from the leader guy...

Hakkun is fan game though my favorite!
...

Why do you continue to slaughter the English language?

What the hell did you just say?
That Sutte Hakkun (aka Suck and Blow) is a fan game. Which it wasn't I should know - I ripped it.

It was on the SNES Satellite System and a cart version was released. If you want to make a Sutte Hakkun sprite in the Smash style - do it in the Fantasy Smash topic.
Lol at crappy Sonic Edits.

Anyway, I would like to enter this, but I'm not good enough to keep up with the Smash Project style. I'm more of a cartoony spriter, but I could always try a more serious style. About the character, it doesn't technically have to be your "avatar" or persona, since people here don't know you anyway. I might make up a new character just for this game, since I sorta have 3 avatars...

Also, I'm SICK of spriting in a fighting game style, after having made 4 complete brawl style sheets without ever making a single other sprite. If things turn around, I'll look forward to joining this. Keep hammering out the guidelines.
-For those of you who care about styles so much...sprite styles. MPA, SMB3, I don't really give a shit. Whatever style works for YOU. I mean, when Cleod9 made Smash Flash, he used a bunch of different styles-MegaMan 8, Sonic Advance/Battle, customs found on TSR...he didn't care really.

-If you don't want to join, you might as well not even post.

-If it would help, no .png files (appearently it's also a "text" file).

-Bandicoota, I see your avatar happens to be Crash Bandicoot. If you want to be in the game, just fix your Crash sheet to look less like the real deal.

-For those of you who are confused, I'm looking for Smash Bros.-based sprites of your avatar. Example:

Dazz's Avatar: Boy in white shirt, blue pants, a long hairdo, a brown hat.

NOW do you get it?

Good, so far. Just make him a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bigger, and 16-bit. I know you're not done, that's why I'm saying it now. Better now than too late.

Once you say you want to join, and/or you'll get started...you HAVE signed up.

Good so far. Like Robo92, just make it a liiiiiiiiitle bigger, and I see it's already in 16-bit.

If it would help, you may view my Goombill Rezne Koopario sheet for size. This should help decide the size. Style doesn't matter. Size and bit does.
Dude, seriously ,you really really need to set a style. SSF is dogged on BECAUSE of it's mix of different styles. It just looks bad.
