Full Version: What's the dividing line between a sprite and a texture?

I'm ripping and uploading the textures from Railroad Tycoon 3 to the Textures Resource, but I note that the loading screens and player portraits have already been uploaded to the Spriters Resource. Obviously anything that's meant to go around a 3D model should go in the Textures Resource, but where does stuff like UI elements go?
Anything that doesn't go around a 3D model is a sprite, so yeah, UI elements count as sprites.
