Full Version: Having trouble getting a model to render?

I've ripped all of the models from the PS1 game Vib-Ribbon but to get the icons (big and small) I would have to render the models and the way that the models are built doesn't allow me to render them. I've attached a model to the thread. My goal is to get the models to render with minimal to no changes to the model. Any help would be appreciated!
I took a look at them and maanged to get them to render by using extrude to give them a little bit of physicality to them, it only has to be be minor, but to changes the mesh from triangle planes to prisms and the renderer picks them up

Can you tell me how you did this? I need to do this to all of the other Vib-Ribbon models I've ripped

Depending on the 3D software your using there will be a 'Extrude' option somewhere. This is from in Maya, but in Max and Blender you can do the same pretty easily
