Not so much actual particle effects, but hand-drawn electricity, light and dissolve transitions! I messed around with After Effects quite a bit, especially for animating glow, but the majority of fx animation that didn't have sprites made were done frame by frame.

You never cease to blow me away.
It might be past spooky-month, but to me that just means there's less than a year left until next Halloween. I've started working on a series of 3d autumnal mini-projects, with the first being a couple bottles of poison. So far I've finished the labels for the bottles. At first I was going to just make four, but I was convinced by some friends to create finished versions of the whole set, haha...  Shocked I like how they turned out though! It was fun trying to make an original set of old-timey labels.
