When I want import the models on fbx, the models come out horribles. Look this King Dedede model, looks like he tries eat hisself and his hammer was cursed. This pass with Donkey Kong fbx and other models format fbx.
What I have do?

Try changing Alpha Blend to Alpha Hashed/Clip in the material tab in every objects and it should work.
I understood the difference between Alpha Blend and Alpha Hashed, but can you show the steps?

Go to the Shading tab on the top of the screen. Select a object and go to the red circle (which is the material tab) on the bottom right. Go below until you find the Settings inthe Viewport Display section. You'll see its set to Alpha Blend, change it into Alpha Hashed/Clip.

If the model wasn't exported with transparency, it will set to Opaque when importing. And the texture won't be linked into Alpha in the material.

Unfortunately, i don't know how to put Alpha Hashed/Clip as default when importing a model. Maybe in preference, i dunno.
