pillow shading
EDIT: what is the blue, white and red egg supposed to be?
Ok here's my c+c
-Black outlines are your friend, it doesn't hurt to use them.
-Try to have a more distinguishable light source, all of your pixelarts are pillowshaded. Shades never come directly from the middle of a piece.
-Try to add more contrast in your work, instead of just picking one color and getting darker and darker with it as you go through the shades, pick different tones of the color you are going with and work with them.
- try a little less symmetry when doing pixelart.
-learn about antialiasing and selective outlining.

hope that helps.

I am 5 years old. Nobody cares about your excuses son.
Pillowshading... :\
+ I love Skink.
Hahaha
The Animal-Crossing-Boy-dressed-as-Mario's straps don't exist...meaning there should be straps that go from the buttons to his back over his shoulders. I could give more c+c, but I have to go really soon, so I don't have much time.
In City Folk, you can make overalls, you know that right?
Oh, I guess you technically could if you drew it yourself, but then again, he could have scribbled a ball of scribbles on the shirt and said it was accurate...
If I remember correctly (I am probably wrong...), you could wear overalls in the older AC...but I guess that I was confused...
It still looks awkward to have the straps like that, imo.
Pillowshading doesn't work in most cases, but it's working for me for some reason. Well, try shading with a lightsource next time, also make the lines smoother.

And learn to choose good colors. That will help you a lot.
Its good your 11 you get to practice sprite at early age but thats not reason to slack off I like the line arts in all of them but the colors and shading need work. As for mario try not to use the Ms paint default colors those just look bad..
Thanks for the tips.
I'll go practice on my shading.
Sorry for the dubbelpost, but I needed to bump it.

tha shading on his left foot and arm contradicts with the whole piece.
Okay, thanks, i'll work on that.
Anyway,
