Go to file import as usual, select the file and then on the right hand side you get a bunch of options, its in there, theres a default scale checked so change that.

I don't mean to be rude saying this, but at this point I'm just explaining to you how to use a piece of software, you could google this.
I don't mind at all helping you to understand how the file works or anything, I'm happy to do that, but Maya is a bit too indepth to explain in forum posts.

Thanks and I understand, 3D editing software is quite tricky
If you get really stuck, let me know, you can drop me a PM or something.
Probably better than giving 3D software advice in the model ripping forum I guess.
