Ok, I was wondering if it was possible to take a 3D model from a video game. Like actually go download a Nintendo Gamecube ROM and extract a model from it.

yes. that's kind of the point of this entire web sight. althow gamecubes don't use roms (witch are how cartreges store data), insted thay use iso files (CDs). for gamecube files, your going to need these http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5869687/WW%20TP%...20Pack.zip
these tools will work for most gamecube games.
