Full Version: Trouble ripping images from an Android game

There is a game called "Pocket All-Stars Smash Bros" on Android. It's a Chinese rip-off game, using Nintendo's characters. However, the sprites are original, and I would like to rip some of them as I like how they look.

However, I keep running into an issue. After changing the .apk to a .zip file, I extract everything. I then go to the assets folder, and look at all of the images. They are all in .png format, so it should be no problem to open them in any standard program. However, for some reason, I can't open them at all, and they don't have thumbnails either.

I was wondering if anybody else knows what to do here? I feel like I'm so close but I can't find any solutions to this problem.

By the way, all of my other .png files still work perfectly.
Upload a few so we can take a look. They're most likely not PNG images at all, but hopefully the format is straightforward.

I'm not really sure where specifically the sprites would be if they aren't PNG, but here's the whole .zip for the game if you want to have a look. I haven't done anything like this before with an Android game but I figured this game could be where I start learning, as people were asking me to try ripping the sprites from the game on another site.
