Eng: The yoyogames sandbox of Game Maker, has been removed from the internet because of a catastrophic error generated by the company to put the web address as the home page, causing the disappearance of more than 78000 games (Mostly generated by the GameMaker) Big indie games, fangames of Mario, Sonic, Minecraft, etc. who they have been there have also disappeared. Until even mine own.
Cry
Well fuck, I had some games up there. Most of them are crappy old ones, but I had Bouncy Cat, Bouncy Cat Mao and Princess Fasntasy Catventure up there as well. I don't have back-ups of most of 'em, mostly my fangames, so I guess they're lost forever now.

Eh, I had little respect left for the company and now it's even less.
I'm 100% sure there was an announcement made about this ahead of time, and they made it clear to everyone to retrieve everything they wanted.

They had a new outlet for hosting game projects (Game Maker: Player), so it was bound to happen eventually; nothing lasts forever. It's like getting angry that the SNES only lasted like 8 years.
I never visit Reddit and nowhere have I seen any warning or announcement. Granted, I never bother to look for anything Game Maker related, since I stopped giving a shit years ago.

And about that SNES comparison, that shit is still around to this day. It's not as if Nintendo decided to destroy every game that isn't somehow salvaged. Couldn't they have moved the projects on Sandbox to their new site somehow?
was return, but just he endured 36 hours.
But it will not be, or at least, it is predicted or even announced sandbox WILL be removed at some point...

I strongly advise looking around and backing up anything and everything you can or want to while it's still an option.

As for not following anything gmk, I can relate.
I only use it for sprite editing, mostly, or to test proof of concept.
Due to glitches, I have-up making games quite some time ago.
