Full Version: Struggling with ripping Punch-Out Wii

Hello everyone, this is my first time attempting to rip audio from an .ISO so bare with my lack of knowledge.

Here's the situation: Punch-Out!! uses Wwise audio for all it's music/sound effects and I'm having difficulty extracting/converting them for proper playback. I'm specifically trying to extract the audio for Von Kaiser and Super Macho Man. In the wwiseaudio folder there's a TON of .wav files and a series of two .bnk files for each character. I've managed to extract one of the .bnk files for Von Kaiser using a program called RavioliGameTools (bnkextr.exe didn't work so I looked for alternatives) and I've managed to extract 92 files in .wav format. Now, these appear to be the same .wav files that are also in the wwiseaudio folder because they're not playable in WMP. Doing my research they're apparently .wem files but since they're older they use the .wav format.

Now you're probably thinking, what's the problem again? Well, when I use a converter (specifically Video Game Sound Converter) it will just stop converting the sound files once it reaches a certain point.

Remember those .wav files I mentioned earlier inside the wwiseaudio folder? They also have this issue. Some will convert and others will just hold up the conversion. Now digging around I thought maybe it was because the .wav files should be converted to .wem files, so I tried changing the file names and then put them through the converter but instead I just get errors. It's also not that the conversions aren't working either, because the files that it does end up converting work.

So I really don't know what the issue is. I feel like I'm very close to solving this. I know someone somewhere had managed to figure this out, because there's a proper rip of all the music from the game on khinsider. It is do-able, to say.

Thank you in advance.

Hello! Try renaming all the older *.wav files to *.wem, and then use VGSC on it. Let me know if that works out. If not, please upload sample files so we may take a look and help you!

I just get an error when I put them through the converter.

Here are the files, I've included the opened .bnk files and the original .bnk file. I also threw in the converter in case. Thanks!
