I made an edit, and I wanted to know what I did wrong on it. Basically, I want opinions. I don't care what type of opinions they are, I'll accept any.
For your first sheet, this is pretty good. For better or worse, this looks like it'd fit right into a Super Mario Advance game. The banding of the shading is pretty terrible, but the palette was well-chosen and this looks like a functional sprite that a lot of people could use in Super Mario Advance-styled fangames.

However, this is a fairly simple edit so I don't think TSR would accept it. Over the years the bar for quality has been raised and this does seem quite good enough. MFGG would probably love this addition to their database, though.

Oh, I see! Thanks! I already uploaded it to MFGG before posting it here.
Your shading on the white area is pillowy and has a loose palette: you're using 3 colours to shade but you're not getting much out of them. You're better off condensing the shades down to 1 colour given the size of the sprites.

Can you feel it NOW, Mr. Krabs?  Smug
