Full Version: Odd Mario Kart 8 SZS issue.

I've been exploring the files and internal bits of Mario Kart 8, and I can see that the szs files are yaz0 files, that's not terribly difficult to figure out, use the decoder, and I am left with a RARC file. Now, all of my RARC file extractors do not work, and simply renaming it to SARC, which my reading has lead me to, result in nothing, using UWizard to extract SZS SARC I get nothing either. "Error extracting SARC archive! "Not a SARC archive!" it says in it's magnificent redundancy. So, I'm just wondering why exactly this is happening, then again it's 5 AM and my brain is mush right now. So, I'll post this, sleep, then check back later.
RARC is different to SARC due to compression data. You can use Every File Explorer to import the .szs or .rarc files to view its contents.
Got it from the GBATemp link, still nothing happens, the uh, Mario Kart 8 stages are what I've been trying to do, though I've been slowly exploring everything really, I already extracted everything from Mario Kart Double Dash and Super Mario Sunshine, even the kind of useless 2D things.

Clicking on the raw *.SZS file has nothing happening, the *.BFLIM works just fine, the *.KCL also does nothing. So, I has a confused.
Have you tried uwizard?
UWizard DOES have a SARC unpacker, but its only for WiiU games since WiiU uses big endian, while the 3ds uses little endian, so its not compatible with it.
Oops, I forgot about that despite seeing the "no little endian" error message a day or so ago.
