Famtasy
Sifi
Isometric

All of those things will go under tags, rather than a genre. They're more descriptions.
I'm currently working to categorise games, as are the rest of the staff. At the end of it we will probably have some things categorised incorrectly, so if you guys would be willing to check through for us and see if there's anything you disagree with that'd be awesome.

I'm also thinking we may need a Pinball section. Thoughts? Do you consider it a subgenre?
Do we actually have enough pinball games for that, or should it be like a "casual games" section instead?
Wouldn't that fall under Tabletop or the likes?
I've encountered a fair few pinball games so far, but I agree it's hard to really give it a definite go ahead when it's kinda... very specific.

MJ, I felt the same way but we currently call it "Board Game" as it's mostly for games like Mario Party.
I just thought of one. MMOs. Would that count for its own genre? Of course, it could be quite a bit to it. There's entire websites just for WoW.
MMOs are generally action RPGs.
Alright, I'll concede to that.
idk; if I was looking specifically for MMO graphics, my first instinct would be to look for an MMO section, not an Action RPG section.
MMO simply means that it is a multiplayer game on a large global server. It doesn't constitute gameplay which is what we are categorising. We also need to consider a genre's size on the site. I think we have a grand total of 8-ish MMOs.
And remember, we'll still have tags to mark games with more specific terms like MMO.
depending on circumstance, "war" is actually a genre.
RTS, in particular tends to use "war games" for an alias, since the bulk of them are war games in some form or fashion.

I agree MMO is in itself not a genre. It's more of a prefix. It could be counted as a sub-genre if not for the fact it doesn't really change anything about the game's structure or play other than being server-locked and exclusively multiplayer.
That's just my opinion, though.
War is not a genre. Strategy is a genre. Real Time Strategy games do commonly have war settings but it is absolutely not a genre.
Hmm...

PS: As long as you guys don't put Smash Bros under Fighting games I'm fine with it.
