Can't wait to see it!
I approved it earlier as it seemed fine to me. It should be up on both games (though one may disappear if/when we merge them).
Decided to rerip the "Font" sheet from Sonic 1 as mentioned: http://i.minus.com/izOAVxAIwsppo.png Just needs a change of icon that's all.

As well as correct letters for the Title Cards/Results and Sonic Team Presents/Credits [using a new tool called BizHawk, credits was also missing the number 2]; it also includes the HUD text, the Game/Time Over text and the hidden Japanese credits as well. For the latter had to use the old GensKMod, changed palette to make them show on the tiles and colour corrected. Well I couldn't get the cheat working at all...

Due to this it also makes these sheets redundant (for Sonic 1): http://www.spriters-resource.com/genesis...heet/8879/ http://www.spriters-resource.com/genesis...eet/56848/

I'm really sorry about it and if anything is missing [bearing in mind, already explained about the letters], please let me know.
Yawa, having you around to help with genesis stuff is exactly the help we need!
So in Sonic 1 we have a bunch of sheets with a lot of overlap.

This has rings, spikes, monitors, explosions, springs, shield, checkpoint, and giant ring.

This has everything that the above has, plus giant animal capsule, animals, invincibility, some font, and signs.

This is just signs.

This is all the Sonic 1 font.

This is a font mix from all the games.

What would be the best course of action here?
Added the Super and Goggles monitor icons to Divine Insect's sheet, meaning Flare's sheet is now redundant.

Ok, I think I submitted all the revisions to Sonic 1. All we need is a clean "Emeralds" sheet for it.
Huh. We somehow missed ripping the Doomsday Zone.
So we still need a cleaner rip of the monitors from Sonic 3/Knuckles and some of the details on the "Get Blue Spheres!" game. Specifically the cursor.

Does anyone know some of the emeralds on this sheet? Which ones near the center are Sonic 1 or 2? What are the big chunky emeralds on the left? How about the red ones in the top right? Thanks!
As in, Blue Sphere?

2 also needs a proper monitor sheet alongside 3/Knuckles, including monitor palettes if the player is Knuckles instead of Sonic and/or Tails.
Sonic 1: First above the credits
Sonic 2: Second above the credits. The Master Emerald at the bottom right, though the glowing was custom made by the submitters.
Sonic 3D Blast: The CGI-looking ones ones at the bottom left
Sonic Spinball: Big blue hexagonal one between the Sonic 3 Emeralds and Master Emerald. Not sure, but I think that weird red one too.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Master Emerald up top, both palettes. Super Emeralds under it plus the unpowered one under them at the left.
The Tiny ones above the weird red one also from Sonic 3 as are the ones between the Spinball Emerald and unpowered Super Emerald.
Finally the Master Emerald on right with the base featured in the Mecha Sonic sonic fight which is also a separate sprite in game.

Hope that helps.
Ok, so that takes care of everything bu the weird red one. I want to make sure I know where it's from before I put it somewhere. Then we can nix this sheet.
I think to better clarify with the last Emerald on the bottom right next to the credits, that is actually an breakable object used in the then unused Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.  It has no significance to the overall plot other than to, I think, block several chutes that Sonic or Tails can enter to get to other areas of the stage.

This video better clarifies what I mean

Quick update: The video I found didn't have the breakable emeralds, so I replaced it with a different version that had them.
Yeah, but is that the original intent, or the way this hack programmed it?
Yes, according to the Cutting Room Floor's Nick Arcade and Simon Wai portions of the prototype, as well as the iOS/Android port, which reinserts Hidden Palace Zone among all the other levels that were left unused in Sonic 2's original release, the Emeralds are nothing more than obstacles meant to be broken to allow further access into the stage. And just to further cement Dolphman's claims, the breakable emeralds don't glow at all, not even in the iOS/Android ports.
