We get it, we are humans and have flaws too. That's why we are open to discussion about these things. But just because we are authority doesn't mean that when we are being unfairly antagonized (as it happens MUCH too often), we should just sit back and take it. It is our jobs to keep order but we deserve to be treated fairly too. After all, we bust our butts to keep this community and the site in running order for everyone, and appreciation for that isn't shown all that often. You guys don't realize the shit we have to put up with behind the scenes. While we do have our bad days and can't always be professional, there is such a thing as people being unable to discern help from an attack and are too quick to paint a bad picture of others just because they don't like what is being said, too.

Also, appreciate being called a "wanker". Top-notch class, bud.
Y'all realize that Petie asked us to drop it, and take it into PM's to keep this thread on topic...

Now, I complied with his request, yet 2 admins decided to continue with their 'rants'! Seems like the last 2 posts added nothing relevant to the topic at hand. But hey, as long as there be more excuses on the table...

I won't apologize for callin y'all wankers...Seriously, my hands have a mind of their own, especially when they're between my legs, a'la wanker like lol << see, an excuse.

I get that people have a bad day, Jets, and I get that things can get blown out of proportion. Most of the admins do a lot for the resources and I respect you guys for it. I'd believe y'all would cop a lot of shit, there are some douchebags on this site. All SickAlice did was mention that he / she submitted models and wanted to volunteer to help. In all honesty, Pingu's response came off as kind of dickish in my opinion. Maybe SickAlice felt the same way and got defensive. But 3 admins, aguing the same point is pretty much overkill in my books. 1 admin response should be enough!
I updated the first post a bit.

That kinda thing happens more often than not for new game submissions from what we've seen.
I remember there used to be a way to view pending games that you had submitted, and then add sprite sheets from said game to the queue. Is that not possible anymore? Do I have to wait for the game to be accepted before I can submit further sheets?

PS. When submitting the game, I know it lets you upload a sheet immediately, but I'm looking to add others. I can be patient, of course, but just curious.
Pending games are listed at the bottom of the page they'd appear on if approved (in your case, https://www.spriters-resource.com/game_b...nce/K.html). I don't recall ever providing a list of your pending games but you can get to your own pending sheets (from the user box at the top) and then click the red game name from there to submit additional sheets as well (or at least you should be able to - let me know if you can't) but either way, the game is listed under the "Pending Games" header on the page I linked if you're logged in.
Ok that's just me being dumb then, I thought pending games were under the console main page not under their specific letter. But I can't click the red link on the pending submission page, if I'm meant to there. There is no mouse-over interaction.
They appear on the main page for smaller consoles (that have no letter bar) but otherwise, they're listed under the appropriate letter.

As for the sheet list issue, you're right, I wasn't providing a link before. I just updated it - can you take a look and let me know if it's working correctly (I can't check myself as I can't see that page).

Yup, it goes directly to an "Add sheet" submission now. Thanks!
By the way, curious what the guidelines are for games that never came out in English. For instance Dobutsu no Mori e+ never received an English release, although the translation would be "Animal Forest e+". Kawa No Nushi Tsuri 5 is the same (if in English, it would be called River King 5).

I submitted the first game as "Dobutsu no Mori e+ / Animal Forest e+" and it remained that way. I submitted Kawa No Nushi Tsuri 5 as " Kawa No Nushi Tsuri 5 / River King 5" and it became "River King 5 (JP)".

So which is preferred? I see downsides to not having both names, such as:

-if only the English name is given, searches for the romanized JP name will not show in results on site.
-the English name, being unofficial, may not be recognized by users on site (and often does not show up on google searches).
-games in the same series should show together, for instance searches for "River King" should bring up this game, but if only the Japanese name is shown obviously it won't.

I guess the eventual tagging feature for games would solve this, and in that event I suppose the Japanese name is best when that comes along, given that is what the game is actually called.

This is something we hope to streamline in the future. As far as I can tell, use the official English name where available. If River King 4 was released in English-speaking regions, it's reasonable to think that this one would have been called River King 5. However, since it wasn't, it's still "officially" known by its Japanese name. So it should be English / Japanese. Unless we don't have an official name. It's... tricky.
I submitted a sheet for a new game (new to the site at least, samurai shodown 4) and for two days now I've been getting

Quote:This sheet has been pre-approved. You will receive a PM once the game is approved as well.

Is there a problem with "validating" the game/can I help? Big Grin
Not really, it's just how the approval system works. We can approve sheets before their game is approved, and it just depends on who's doing it whether they do one or the other first. Personally I only approve a game after one of the sheets has been approved.
Updated the first post with a Reason #5.
Is there any way to get specific feedback? I know I don't have a lot of approvals but my first two were like... less than a month. This one's been there for almost three.
