What's wrong with MMORPGs? I know they're overrated and there's a lot of crappy ones out there on the internet, but the genre itself has made many great games.
Many great games amongst a multitude of bad ones does not a good genre reputation make.
sports games are cool but madden for the ds sucks a chode hard i mean damn

It's world of warcraft. You play the game. It's pretty fun at first. You get to level 10. You're trial is over. So you decide to buy a month of it. By the time the month is over, you're level 14. $15 a month for a couple levels? And then it becomes a waste of time.
WoW is only good if you have friends to play it with. As in IRL friends. People you randomly meet online (and this is roughly true with all online games) tend to be rather fickle or selfish.
But yeah, a solid group of friends all playing the same MMO is a fun and rewarding experience. At least it's not FFXI, then it would be expensive and punishing. :V

That's exactly what alot of my friends are like with WoW.

I enjoy WoW on a PS and am trying to get into PSO on SCHTHACK.
PSO is pretty fun but I just can't get into MMORPGs.
You should play with me and Lex, Tyvon/Vipershark.
I'm level 38, Lex is level 3....5, and Fret has two accounts; one powerlevelled to 50 (out of 200), and one in the teens.
I'm at level two and I haven't been arsed to open it up since then.
Plus I'm always busy with other shit.

ITT MMOs are the best genre if you're casual, able to pay regular fees when need be, and not a lonely distinguished gentleman.
