i never gave myself a decent ref pic
You only get shorter and shorter with every rendition

eventually you'll just be an actual bullet and that'll be the end of it

i fudged up the textures, maybe i'll revisit them some other time.
animation to come Summer 2016
Is the fighter resource already going to the 3D era!?
I'd love to see TFR as a SSB64 inspired game :V
Well a SSB64 styled Brawl mod would be a lot easier than coding a game from scratch
Until you realize that you'd still need to model, animate and script the characters. For the content makers, it's pretty much the same amount of work as for the current tFR....but then you counter realize that tVGR is full of spriters, not modellers or 3D animators...or even programmers (besides a few) ....then you question why you aren't making tFR 2D....then you realize that people have tried that already.. and only two have survived...but they're cocooned ... hibernating...then you stop reading this...
The biggest issue would just be the modeling. Brawlbox and using pre-existing assets from Brawl makes animating easier, and PSA (which is used for custom characters in Brawl) isn't difficult to use at all.

However I know why it wouldn't really work, especially compared the 2d TFR. Shit, I'd know the most out of anybody because I was the original coder for TFR/came up with the original idea of TFR.

That being said, my point still stands. Coding a Brawl mod would still be easier than coding the game from scratch. Less likely to happen, but it would still be easier to do
This conversation happened a while ago when I posted a 3D Gors :V
IIRC, Iceman even said the exact same quote

I'd only be for this if the game had only eight characters and the Nintendogs lab was a hidden 9th character

and it was called "Absolute 9"

Also, this sounds like a good idea (even like an SF4-style game, 3D characters in a 2D "gamescape") until you read what else has been already been said, and then you realize there's characters like Metaru who hammerspace everything, and then you have to model all those hammerspaced items and ya know That's Just A Huge PAin In The Ass

My issues with BrawlBox are that you're limited to FK animation and it's graph editor isn't too good (poor control over key tangents) , which makes animating tedious. If you're not already decent at 3D animation, I wouldn't recommend BB. I've only seen a few decent animations made strictly in BB.

Of course, you can import animations from Maya, if you have it.

Though, yeah, I agree that making a Brawl mod still be would be easier. Movesets will have to be changed, but now all you have to do is make content.
How about making an own thread for this topic? Sounds like it has a slight chance....
If you notice from the people above, only sportoise and I worked on tFR. (i.e. made decent progress, I know iceman and Virt made some sprites, but they're unfinished characters). As far as I know, Sportoise is done for now and I'm sticking with my version. Unless you're going to be a main contributor, I don't think it has much chance. It was nice to talk about, though.
i made a 3d demonlemon before already, but i wanted to try again.
