Self-explanatory title. Post them.

not just this cave, but ALL OF THEM.
In before "Water Temple."

Also: The submarine levels in Pac-Man World 2.
-Death Mountain (Zelda II; this one in particular for coming relatively early in the game... But yep, guess I gotta mention the Great Palace as well)
-Ice Palace (LoZ: a Link to the Past)
-Eagle's Tower and Turtle Rock (LoZ: Link's Awakening)
-Snowhead and Stone Tower (LoZ: Majora's Mask)
-Jabu-Jabu's Belly (LoZ: Oracle of Ages)
-Temple of the Ocean King (LoZ: Phantom Hourglass)
-Lakebed Temple and City in the Sky (LoZ: Twilight Princess)
-Sirena Beach (Super Mario Sunshine, if nothing more than for the Yoshi-requisite Shine and the 100 Coin Shine* - seriously, you can only miss a very small amount of coins before the Shine becomes impossible to get)
-Corona Mountain, That leaf-riding river bonus level, and that GODDAMN PACHINKO BONUS LEVEL (Again, SMS)
-Nest of Evil (Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, but only really if you're trying to get incredibly rare enemy drops since a good deal of the enemies here cannot be found anywhere else, and if you don't get a drop that you want then you either have to die and start over or worse, if you only get ONE/SOME of the drops then you go have to go through the Nest more than once)
-will come up with more later

*I don't remember if you can also get 100 coins via the Casino episodes.

Try pounding on the smaller slot machines to get a few more extra coins. I usually play the Secret of the Casino level to get my 100 coin Shine.

Speaking of 100 coins, a lot of the levels in the original Super Mario 64 are like this. Places like Tall, Tall Mountain, Tick Tock Clock, and Hazy Maze Cave come to mind.
On the topic of casinos, Casinolopolis from Sonic Adventure was a level design disaster. So gimmicky.

Intentionally fail a pinball game and drop into the basements. You can collect all the rings you need down there in a much more timely manner.
whatevr level in dark souls had nothing but dragon asses
On the subject of irritating things in Dark Souls, the Capra Demon always pissed me off, mainly because of his dogs:

In terms of LEVELS though, the only level in recent memory that has frustrated me to some degree is Champion's Road from Super Mario 3D World, but I don't think that should really count either because it's pretty much the FINAL challenge of that game, not an obnoxiously designed level, per se.
That one level from Shadow the Hedgehog where you have to collect 400 Rings.

Fuck it.

Fuck it to hell.

Champion's Road is obnoxious the first hundred times you try it, but once you manage to actually complete it you can usually get through the level much more easily. At least, that's how it went for me... I beat it with Rosalina after days of failing, then managed to complete it with each of the other characters in one shot.

The bonus house in that same world, though... that's some sadist level bullshit right there x.x;

Heh heh, well the thread does say obnoxious, not necessarily hard.

Dragon Airie in Dark Souls 2. The drakekeepers have infinite stamina and cannot be stunned, making this place basically impossible for non-ranged builds. In NG+, these guys can basically either 1 shot you or leave you with like 1 hp.

Then again, there's plenty of obnoxious areas in the Souls series, so it's not that surprising.
