careful Kosheh, you might be giving Nintendo free ideas here for Mario kart.

I have quite a bit actually, and they're all great. There's one drawing still hanging on my fridge Pretty Content (✿◡‿‿◡); I'll post that one at least when I get a chance

(it's amazing)

somehow I became awful when I turned 11 tho

nintendo will have to give me royalties if they insert my OC into the game. thanks nintendo =)
I made so many sprite comics in the past that are just absolute garbage. I have the most recent ones saved, but I'm dreading showing them off...

Though I think some of them are on my deviantART page, so if anyone wants to find them, go crazy.
I did a sprite comic once on N-sider. I didn't get into it much, but the concept alone should speak for itself.
I have a lot of really shameful fanworks, but probably the worst is an 18 chapter smutty, kinky Persona 3 self-insert fanfiction i wrote where my friend and I get with the mc and ken

and i only wrote it 6 years ago

and i CAN'T FUCKING DELETE IT because the one forum it's posted on that isn't private closed down a while ago and even if I log in I can't edit any of my old posts

and worst of all, people actually liked it

So someday if/when I become a published author someone is going to find it and shame me with it and that thought terrifies me

well vgr now you know my shameful past

help, i'm imagining this

"hello haruko-chan"

"hello mc"

"wanna get down?"

"ok"

*both hold pistols to one anothers' head
You know all these fan works are pretty common things people do when they're young. Yet we still get embarrassed by it.

i can vaguely relate to this because i still draw a shitload of nsfw fanart

no shame on my end.
I couldn't do NSFW fan art. All my beloved characters are too cartoony and innocent. It would just be weird.
I can't do NSFW fan art either. Mostly because I suck at anatomy so it'd all look weird and not erotic in the slightest.
I have some nsfw things I've made that I accidentally rediscovered on my old pc, I cringed so hard while looking through it, it was like a train wreck, I couldn't look away...

(I do have a bunch of other nsfw things I made that aren't cringe worthy and I don't regret making those but that special folder...)

That's actually part of my shame. I didn't even start doing it until I was eighteen.

Granted, that largely had to do with the fact that prior to leaving for college I barely had any experience with the internet whatsoever.
You didn't do fan stuff until you were 18? I did fan stuff when I was 8!

I made a Super Mario Board Game. Got a big poster and drew all the spaces.
I guess everyone has to get fanworks out of their system at some point. Or try to, at least.

I made plenty of Final Fantasy 4, Earthbound and Zelda fanart in elementary school, but they were more on the level of kid doodles. I remember "writing" a "comic book" with Mario and friends in first grade, too. I think that still exists somewhere. And in second grade I got pretty good at drawing Arwings. Never did anything fanwork related after I finished school though. Unless you want to count Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
Why stop making fan works? Just because you can now make original works doesn't mean you have to stop fan works.
