I mean, existing GameCube controllers can be used with the Wii U adapter. Maybe the trigger functions will work through that, and you could use your old GameCube controllers for the VC

I honestly wouldn't be bothered if the ZeldaU protagonist turns out to be female. The only thing bothering me is the excessive, seemingly desperate over-analyzing some people are doing to that trailer.

True, but they were more like a taste of Sci-fi and they only showed up for one side quest. If they are going to use those guys again in the next Zelda game, hopefully they would be expanded upon and made into either a major threat or a whole new race (either way, I'm curious to see why they kidnap those cows and what they did to Romani).

If I really wanted to do that, I'd point out that Skyward Sword has a lot of sci-fi technology themes throughout the game. Particularly the desert temple and Fi herself.

It's called Codename S.T.E.A.M. and you play a squad of agents led by Abe Lincoln in a Steampunk London to stop HP Lovecraft-inspired aliens. By the way, the art style is inspired by the Silver Age of Comics (Jack Kirby), and is a turn-based strategy game made by Intelligent Systems appearing to be heavily inspired by Valkryie Chronicles. AND THAT'S WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR.

A: yes, the lead developer likes that game. But it wasn't an inspiration. That game is a trafitional strategy game, and players rely on the overhead map/view. Not really a shooter. Nintendo & IS wanted the shooter like gameplay to be integral and not a facade.

It sounds REALLY COOL on paper, but it seems more like if IS took Battallion Wars and made it portable...and in the end, it looks kinda lame.
The "comic-book style" looks more like the Fisher Prices' Rescue Heroes meets Battallion Wars. :/

That's really disappointing. I was hoping for a lady character, either Zelda, a female Link, or something, but even a new male character would've been interesting. I'm actually kind of crestfallen over this, honestly.
