Heh, man, the thread/post title being removed from the post combined with Firefox's new design lacking a title bar means the only persistently visible place the title is visible is the tab its in (which are usually too short to display the full thread name or like, more than a word or two). That, coupled with my way of reading the forums being going to "View Today's Posts" and opening the new posts in new tabs for every thread I want to read creates a perfect recipe for me being really damn confused and never easily knowing what thread I'm in unless it's REALLY obvious from text clues. I dunno, maybe this only applies to me but...

I don't like it. Sick
Uh... Not sure I know what you're talking about - the title bar on Firefox still exists on the tab - and it is the only wording in there, so it's not like it's cut off because of a prefix.
I'm not in front of a computer with Firefox at the moment so I can't say this with certainty but I think the problem he is describing is that the tabs aren't big enough to show much of the title and it isn't shown anywhere else on the browser.

That being said, the thread's title is shown at the top of the page itself, both in the "breadcrumbs" and above the first post so at worst, you'll just need to scroll up to see it.
You can restore Firefox's title bar by going to View -> Toolbars -> Customize... and clicking on the Title Bar button in the bottom-left corner.
Yeah, at the cost of vertical resolution, not to mention that it's ugly and looks awkward. Merging the tab bar and title bar was a genius idea because it put the tabs in a place that's otherwise completely empty. Turning it off doesn't make much sense, particularly on smaller screens.
for many people, change is difficult to adjust to--especially when it seems arbitrary.

personally, on my large screen, it felt really weird not to have a title bar. almost like there was... too much space.
