Back during the time when sprite comics and geotics roamed the Internet there was this place called the Spriters resource, you probably never heard of it.
Anyways when I lurked its forums and site there was one spriter among them piqued my curiosity, a one named Cary "Omega" Frank.
Mr.Frank made tons of amazing custom mario sprites mostly in the style of SMB 2-3, those sprites inspired me to become a spriter myself and follow in his footsteps with my own custom mario sheets, thus I took part of his name "Omega" and used it as my own.
Unfortunately none of his sheets are on TSR anymore since he requested they be taken down long ago, only sheet left is a mouser rip he made for Super mario advance.
Also as for my toad character I ripped off Toadkarter, but don't tell him that!
Since you put it that way, Omega, I can see the influence of both spriters in yourself.
Occasionally, I had the thought to change my name to reflect the user name of someone I know, but I think "E-Man" is good enough for me.

originally on deviantart, it was 2010 and i was into zelda at that time. i saw some really good manga pages of zelda oot that were pretty much enhanced.
i wanted to
recolor the zelda mangas, so i called myself recolorme.
for my nickname recme, its another story. when gors became my friend, he started calling me recme, which i thought was pretty cool.
When I was younger, I used to be a big fan of Raven from Team Titans and I went by ravenboy. I tried signing up for neopets with the name, but it was taken so it led to ravenboy9 because I was 9 years old at the time. When I first started on tSR, I realized I couldn't draw a raven, but I could draw a cool, yet incredibly simple robot dude. I wanted to keep the initials rb9, and robo9 came out of it.

Well, I have a pretty stupid story on my name.
it used to be "darkstar7879" and i eventually came to find that it was the most uninspired, unoriginal name ever.
next, after a whole day of brainstorming i came up with nothing.
until i saw my toaster.
"optitoast" it read, being the smart fellow i was i misread it as "omnitoast" and stuck to it
obviously toast didnt sound too great at the end, it came from markipliers name actually, i was originally going to be
"omnikarpler" (gee what a great one)
after that i simplified karpler down to kariz and wabam.

i've regurgitated my origin story so many times that i wonder if someone on this site could recite it from memory
when i was 5-6 years old i had to come up with a username for aim or some forum and at that time the only major defining trait about me was "wow, that kid sure does like luigi" so i came up with crazyboutluigi
years later i started becoming more active on the internet in bits and pieces and that username's embarrassment factor creeped up on me, so i shortened it to cbluigi
on a little place known as
digibutter.nerr.biz i ended up being a prominent member of the community and had--gasp--FRIENDS
one day in late 2008 i had to scrap an old desktop computer so i spent a good few hours nabbing old sprites from it, some of which were superstar saga recolors (luigi with sky blue cap and shirt) that served as a character ref when i was a little craps
i showed these around to my friends and somebody made the observation that cbl could be short for crappy blue luigi
