How was
the hero model ripped from the game. The only info I've found at all was on
PS23DFormat which I've tried but I just get 56,581 3ds files. I also found
this on XeNTaX but the download link is dead. Anyone know how to get the DQ8 models?
Hero was ripped using the
PCSX2 method. It's a complex process to get rips just right that's why only Hero was ripped.
An alternate option would be to use
Ninja Ripper and 3DS Max. But I don't know if that will be any easier.
Those 56,581 3ds files are the models. You can open them in many programs such as Blender, 3DS Max, Maya, etc. I would use
Noesis to search through the 3ds files.
I had looked at some of them in 3ds Max but they didn't really look like anything. I'll check them in Noesis.
