Don't worry! It'll show up, this was my second attempt at trying to get one really, as a suggestion use a Pokemon with Static up front, it will make electric pokemon show up more!

My not-Shiny Ampharos sure is taking advantage of all that experience. A nice preview of what I can expect from Fabio.

got a shiny swoobat by accident a week ago, it's green and cute. not going to use it tho, bad memories from my swoobat in my white play through ( good in the beginning, terrible later in the game )

also got a shiny female togepi, yes i'm a para-flincher kind of guy

I've killed thousands of Mareep! Give me a break! That's not counting the Wingull massacre!

Which is why people should stop bitching about the heightened Shiny encounter rate: They're special, but not 1/8000+ special.
Meanwhile, I've calculated that I've turned 400+ Mareep into doner kebab just today. Assuming I downed 500 a day, I should be at 3400. It's likely way more. I just hate how I have to rely on a constant coin toss what lands tails ~7999/~8000 times. Just give me the friggin' pink sheep already!

According to Serebii, the odds of finding a shiny has been upped to 1/4000+.
That said, having possibly encountered 4000+ Mareep, still no shiny Mareep
