I plan on doing chibi RPG sprites of the Mane Six and other popular MLP characters, starting with Derpy. Here's the first sheet:

The selout really makes this unreadable. Don't break up the black outline into several pieces like that, it is too distracting. Some of the colors could use more contrast between them, and remove some unnecessary shades.

You have contrast and readability issues. Also, the selout... well, don't do it when you don't know what you do. Your greys are all rather similar and the yellows, too and then there's all these black pixels poking out.
It's usually better not to use pure black, anyways.
